The educational courses we offer on MEDIC are freely available to all healthcare professionals (HCPs) with an interest in medicinal cannabis. These courses are designed specifically for Australian HCPs to help continue their professional development. By registering with MEDIC, you can gain access to courses, events, and resources that can supplement your knowledge about medicinal cannabis and improve your practice.
What kind of content is available on the MEDIC website?
MEDIC is designed to offer independent medical education, the online portal will host a range of accredited courses, educational resources and details of any upcoming medical education events. The educational courses and resources will cover a variety of topics from safety and clinical considerations, to pharmacology and potential drug interactions associated with medicinal cannabis.
Will I receive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for completing these courses?
The courses offered on the MEDIC online portal are accredited with the RACGP QI&CPD program. GPs who complete this course will be provided with a certificate of completion, for those belonging to other professional accreditation bodies, this certificate can be used for self-reported learning.
Do I need to report my points to the RACGP?
No, if you have provided your RACGP QI&CPD number as part of the registration process, we can record your points with the RACGP QI&CPD program on your behalf upon completion of the course. Please ensure you have completed your RACGP QI&CPD details in your account.
You may need to allow up to 28 days for the points to be allocated and show up on your account.
